Chiang Mai Night Safari announces birth of new zebra

Chiang Mai Night Safari today welcomed the birth of a new zebra. The zoo said it was healthy.
Authorities at Chiang Mai Night Safari reported that a zebra mother in the the zoo’s Savannah Safari section today gave birth to a new baby. It has yet to have its sex identified. The newborn is a success of the zoo’s natural breeding program which has sought to provide conditions for breeding to take place since 2006. At present, 8 zebras have been successfully born in the zoo from an original population of 4 males and 6 females.
Since its delivery this morning the young zebra is already able to walk and drink its mothers milk.
