  British Film Festival 2009 kicks off 

  

  British Film Festival

  The British International Film Festival 2009 is being held in Bangkok to screen five quality movies from England.

  The festival revolves around the topic of global warming. The five films include “The Age of Stupid,” “It’s a Free World,” “Is Anybody There,” “The Boat that Rocked,” and “Thomas & Friends.” In addition, there will be a show called “Airplay UK” which contains 15 music videos from England.   Bangkok Film Festival 2009

  Curtain rises on the 7th Bangkok Film Festival, 24 to 30 September.

  Now in its seventh year the curtain will rise on the annual Bangkok Film Festival, 24 to 30 September, in the heart of Bangkok’s downtown swank shopping district. The spectacular event promises to deliver more than 80 exciting films with the focus on a new generation of film makers particularly from throughout Asia.

  The event is co-hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Federation of National Film Associations of Thailand, with the gala opening set in the forecourt of the upscale Central World shopping mall. (More …)

  Bangkok animators win world contest 

  

  The Prestissimo” team

  A group of Thai animation developers has focused the world animation and multimedia spotlight on Thailand by beating nine other teams to win the world’s largest animation and multimedia competition.

  Called the “International Animation Contest: FJORG 2009“, the competition was held at SIGGRAPH 2009, the world largest International conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques, in the United States early this month. (More …)
